We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tender Team Leader to join our growing Architecture and Engineering Consultancy firm. You will play a pivotal role in leading our tendering process, ensuring we submit high-quality and tender documents for new projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Tender Team, delegating tasks and ensuring timely completion of all tender deliverables ensuring accuracy, and completeness.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for tender documents.
- Review and analyze tender documents, including project scopes, specifications, and timelines.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of project requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates and identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Manage tender budgets, considering market price knowledge for materials and labor.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and quantity surveyors to develop accurate and competitive proposals, including the preparation of a Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and negotiate terms and conditions.
- Utilize REVIT or other relevant Building Information Modeling (BIM) software to enhance project visualization and cost estimation.
- Compile and finalize tender submissions, ensuring adherence to deadlines, client-specific requirements, and construction contracts.
- Conduct post-tender analysis and provide recommendations for future bid strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends in tendering practices, relevant construction regulations, and construction contract best practices.
- Prepare and present tender reports, including cost breakdowns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or a related field).
- 12+ years of experience in tendering within the engineering consultancy industry.
- Strong understanding and experience applying quantity surveying standards, such as POMI.
- Proven ability to work effectively with CSI specifications.
- In-depth knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and market price trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve objectives under tight deadlines.
- Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Professional certifications (e.g., Chartered Quantity Surveyor) are a plus.
Work Environment:
• Working hours: 8:00 to17:00
• Days off: Friday & Saturday
• Location: 1st Settlement- New Cairo
